Belmond Palacio Nazarenas

This splendid, elegant and welcoming hotel is housed in a 16th century colonial palace and convent built on Inca foundations. It’s a lovely and stylish place to stay, with luxurious accommodation, tranquil garden terraces and historic cloisters, an organic spa, heated outdoor pool and exceptional cuisine.

If you’re looking to treat yourself to a memorable stay in Cusco, the Belmond Palacio Nazarenas could be just what you’re looking for. It’s elegant and stylish, with every need anticipated and catered for. Personal service is key here – each of the 55 luxurious suites has private butler service – and guests are assisted with altitude acclimatization with a special herbal pillow and herbal bath.

The setting is memorable; an historic palace built on even older, Inca, foundations. Traces of the original Inca stonework can be found in the grounds, and the palace’s seven cloistered courtyards – one of which is now a herb garden – are wonderful places to relax.

You can take that relaxation to another level in the organic spa, which offers a range of treatments and holistic fitness classes. Take a tour of the art collection or learn a new skill, with salsa dance, yoga, pottery painting and Peruvian cooking classes. Enjoy a pisco sour tasting session and then, with the aid of your butler, recreate the experience in your suite. Children are made very welcome here, and can dress up in traditional costume and enjoy a guided city tour.

Dining at Palacio Nazarenas is a gastronomic experience to cherish, and afternoon tea in the garden is a sumptuous affair. The renowned Senzo restaurant serves Peruvian fusion cuisine, while less formal dining takes place in the lounge and bar. You can also use the restaurants at the sister hotel next door: Belmond Hotel Monasterio.
