Casa Andina Colca

The ambiance at Casa Andina Colca Canyon is one of peace and tranquility. Simple, no fuss, rustic casitas linked by plant-lined walkways with a central fountain. It’s located near the centre of Chivay, which serves as a gateway to the Colca Canyon.

Casa Andina Classic Cusco offers simple and honest accommodation in the town of Chivay. It’s good value for money and gets consistent, good feedback from clients. The individual casitas are linked by a walkway and there is a central patio with a pretty fountain where you can enjoy the fresh air (very fresh in winter).

It gets chilly here at night, but you’ll find a heat lamp in your room and a handy electric blanket too. If you are here when it’s cold, we recommend putting the heater on the moment you arrive. The hotel is in a quiet spot in Chivay, but you’re just 5 minutes’ walk from Plaza de Armas if you want to have a look around town.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is a buffet spread. The style of food is home-cooking, wholesome and tasty. In keeping with the hotel, everything here is good, honest, value for money. The friendly staff will ensure a warm welcome and will endeavour to make your stay a happy one.

Times to Go

Most people visiting the Colca Canyon tend to avoid the rainy season, so May to November would be the best time to visit.

“As a company Casa Andina invests in the local communities where they operate and also support Peru Champs, a non-profit organisation providing scholarships to children with high-potential from low-income families.”

And don’t forget … for every booking we take, Peru Specialists (which is part of Tribes Travel) plants trees in deforested areas of South America and Africa through The Travel Forest, and we also back The Tribes Foundation’s conservation and social projects.
