Casa San Blas
Experience Andean hospitality and culture at this attractively restored town house in the popular San Blas artistic neighbourhood, five minutes’ walk uphill from the Plaza de Armas. Explore the city and relax in the courtyard or on the rooftop terrace, from where there are great views over Cusco.
Casa San Blas is a 17th century town house, carefully restored using traditional materials to retain the original appearance and style of the building. Welcoming staff help to make this your home from home while you are in Cusco. Each guest room and suite is named after a local textile symbol and has drawings and information about its meaning and importance giving you an insight into Andean traditions.
Tika Bistro serves a daily buffet breakfast with eggs, cold meats, cheese, bread and fruit.’. Coca tea and other herbal teas are available at any time in the lobby in case you need help with adjusting to the altitude. The hotel has a team of therapists who offer massages, hot stone therapy and reflexology service. There is an attractive courtyard with tables and chairs, and a terrace on the top floor with wonderful views over the city where you can enjoy a drink. Indoors there’s a lounge and an internet station.
The hotel is in the artisans’ quarter just a little way from the Plaza de Armas, ideal for sightseeing. Street noise can be heard in the hotel at times, but that is part and parcel of the nature of the building and the San Blas location. Staff are happy to provide advice on city attractions, art galleries and restaurants, so that you can make informed choices on how to spend your time in Cusco.
