Explora Valle Sagrado

Get outward bound with guided excursions in the valley, on the plateau or up the mountain tailored to acclimatising you to the altitude. Learn about the history and culture of the Sacred Valley and return to the welcoming eco-hotel to reflect, relax, enjoy a massage and savour fine food and wine in a wonderfully peaceful setting.

In tune with other Explora properties, the core of a stay at Valle Sagrado is to get out and enjoy nature and the great outdoors. The hotel offers over 30 excursions and activities all led by expert guides, allowing you, with help from a guide, to pick and chose those that most appeal, be it scenery, culture or history, hiking, biking or horse riding. At other times the hotel provides all the creature comforts you could want, from top quality, locally-sourced cuisine to nourish you after all the fresh air and exercise, indulgent spa treatments to recuperate after the day’s activities, to cosy rooms with picture windows facing the valley for a good night’s sleep.

It is located in an ancient corn plantation and Inca remains were discovered during the hotel’s construction, proving that this is very much part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The spa is in a 17th colonial mansion complete with original frescoes and stonework, reflecting another era of the region’s history, while the main hotel is a new low rise structure of wood, stone and glass, designed to blend into the landscape.

The hotel is open all year and the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu can be visited year round.
