Gocta Andes Lodge

Hike to the stunning 770 metre Gocta waterfall, go for nature walks, visit the local village and marvel at archaeological sites; these are all part of the Gocta Andes Lodge experience, as are relaxing by the swimming pool, enjoying tasty Andean cuisine and taking in views of the falls from your private terrace.

This attractive two-storey lodge is in the photogenic Cocachimba Valley, from where you can hike to Gocta Waterfall, whose existence was only known by locals until 2002. The lodge provides simple, en-suite accommodation, each room has a deck or balcony facing the falls. You can enjoy trips to the falls, to nearby archaeological sites including Kuelap fortress and explore the flora and fauna. On return to Gocta you can wander around the gardens where feeders attract hummingbirds, sunbathe and swim in the pool. Meals showcasing local Andean ingredients are served indoors and on the terrace. Despite its rural location the lodge offers Wi-Fi internet access, though this can be affected by the weather.
