La Casona

Elegant colonial manor house in the heart of Cusco transformed into a gorgeous all-suite boutique hotel with bags of character, charm and style. Add 21st century comforts and attentive service to the Spanish colonial splendour, and it’s clear why this is a Relais & Chateaux property.

An impressive 16th century mansion boasting skilful stone and woodwork, graceful colonnades and a lovely central courtyard, to which modern comforts have been added, resulting in a luxury hotel which retains its original character.

It’s little wonder that La Casona was Peru’s first Relais & Chateaux property. Its central location allows for easy sightseeing, either independently or taking advantage of the various guided tours offered by the hotel.

It is run as a private residence and its grand entrance doors are closed to the public, enhancing the intimacy of this discrete hotel. Savour exquisitely crafted and presented cuisine in the restaurant, including complimentary afternoon tea and, after a busy day, don’t miss out on cocktail hour.

There’s an inviting lounge with a large open fire and a cosy library, and a small spa where you can enjoy massages and other relaxing and rehydrating therapies. Each of the 11 suites has a stone fireplace, sitting and dining areas and a large marble-finished bathroom with bathtub and separate rain shower, plus modern touches such as underfloor heating, TV and DVD player and free Wi-Fi. La Casona’s combination of heritage, location, luxury and service is unbeatable.
