Tambo del Inka

Tambo del Inka is the ultimate hideaway tucked between the peaks of the Andes and the Urubamba River. Inca influences feature heavily in the design and feel of this upmarket resort, which even has its very own private train station servicing Machu Picchu.

This is the most luxurious accommodation on offer in the Sacred Valley. Careful design and construction incorporate Inca-inspired elements with a striking contemporary style. The thick stone walls have been combined with wooden beams, high ceilings and huge windows to showcase the stunning mountain views.

The luxury on-site spa offers massages and therapeutic treatments with their roots in the ancient Inca civilisation. Enjoy a relaxing treatment at the end of a day of sightseeing, or float in the indoor/outdoor swimming pool. Round off your day with the delights of Peruvian fusion food in Hawa, the main restaurant, accompanied by live music. The chefs use herbs and vegetables from the organic garden and local farms and have the skills to create amazing flavours that will have your taste buds crying out for more.

There are other restaurants in walking distance but most guests choose to indulge themselves and eat here every night. The bar staff provide another excellent reason to stay put.

Times to Go

The Sacred Valley experiences two seasons, rainy and dry. The best time to visit would naturally be the dry season so you are looking at April through to October. The rains typically begin in November and last through to March, January and February receive the most rainfall, so are perhaps best avoided.
