Luxury and privacy on the edge of Lake Titicaca, with fabulous views of the water from your room, as you dine and when relaxing on the terrace. Fill your days with cruises, island visits, kayaking, biking and tours of historical sites, all led by experienced resident guides.

Titilaka is set on its own private peninsula, ensuring exclusivity, and has just 18 rooms for a genuine small hotel feel. As well as exploring the lake, its islands and inhabitants, you can go mountain biking and visit archaeological sites on the mainland and use kayaks, sailing dinghies and paddleboards from the Boat House to enjoy the water.

The lodge has a special relationship with one of the Uros islands, so guests are not part of the usual conveyor belt to visit the floating islands. With no fewer than 3 lounges and panoramic terraces there are plenty of places to unwind, and the spa offers massages and stone therapy for ultimate relaxation. The staff all take good care of you, from the guides to the chefs, with friendly yet professional service and outstanding attention to detail.

Food is a key part of the Titilaka experience. The restaurant offers a range of creative à la carte dishes and daily specials showcasing modern Peruvian cuisine, to be savoured while enjoying 270° views of Lake Titicaca. All 18 rooms look out over the lake, with some sited for sunrises and others for sunsets, while the corner rooms provide views of both. With all of these attributes it’s no wonder that Titilaka has been a member of the esteemed Relais & Chateaux group since 2012.

Luis the Llama likes this because…

“The hotel abides by sustainable practices, using hydroelectric power and natural gas, and support the local community by sourcing produce in the vicinity and employing local people. The hotel works with the community funding a school teacher and vocational training, organising workshops to train adults in traditional and contemporary skills and helping villages in varied programmes such as supplying drinking water and providing Wi-Fi to empower local people.”
